Sky Scarf Knitting Pattern

This is the first in a series of conceptual knitting pattern
postcards. The "pattern" is a set of instructions that involves
some sort of activity or process that determines what the
knitted item will look like. If you knit a Sky Scarf, please
email me a photo and I will post it!

I hope to have the set of postcards up for purchase at
www.leafcutterdesigns.com when they are done. If you have
an idea for a conceptual knitting pattern that you'd like me
to make a postcard for, drop me a line:
leafcutterdesigns-at-gmail-dot-com.

Oh, I do so love this idea. Sadly, I don't look good in the yicky colors I'd have to use to re-create our skys here in the middle of all these petro-chemical plants. We see blue skies maybe 3-4 times per year, and they are barely blue. Mostly we see gray, gray, gray and a whitish gray and at night, dark gray. Ha! Yours is beautiful.

A "waiting" scarf. Assign, pick at random,or have your kid(s) choose a colour for each waiting place, at the dentist, at school, at [whatever]-lesson (swimming, piano, etc.).

Knit in the colour of event for as long as you're waiting.

Or, a colour-per-child, knit in the colour of who you're waiting for, two or more colors together when you're waiting for 2 or more kids, then you'll have a scarf for each child.

For now, or to save when they're preggers/starting a family ...
